Granite Belt Support Services Inc. (GBSS) operates as a not- for-profit and an Incorporated Association, governed by a voluntary committee comprising family members of people with a disAbility, individuals with a disAbility and interested community members. GBSS works to improve the quality of life of people with disAbilities in the Southern Downs, Queensland, and Hunter/New England New South Wales areas. We are a registered NDIS Provider and offer services to assist people with disAbilities and special needs and their families and carers to be included in all aspects of community life.

GBSS was founded in 1990 by parents, teachers and interested community members to administer support services.

Our main business centre is situated at 44 Short Street, Stanthorpe. Our Plan Management and Finance team are located on Level 1 at Maryland Central High Street Stanthorpe. We also provide Short Term Accommodation (STA) respite at Arden Place, 42 Short Street and Marsden Place, 2A Harris Street, Stanthorpe.

GBSS is proud to support the local community by providing quality disAbility support service, therapy and Plan Management for eligible NDIS participants. ​​​​​​​

GBSS is a major employer within the disAbility sector in our local district, offering permanent part time and casual employment opportunities to residents, both in and around the Granite Belt area.
